I must be really dumb but how do I open the red and Green doors in the tunnel? I tried everything with the 3 switches :/

You want to take the gate to the west unless you want to have some battles before you take that gate.

Facing the switches from west to east, if you started flipping them, turn them all up.

Then--if you want to open the gate that will get you into the tzar's area, turn the middle switch on and go through the westernmost gate. If you want to battle some monsters first, go through the easternmost gate. Good luck!
