Muddy Pond Mildew

Trying to cure my Hades Itch. I have everything except muddy pond mildew. I'm @ muddy pond, I read in the book that you have to leave meat overnight. I have dropped meat in every square of that pond that I can reach & camped on the shore for day(s).... NOTHING! Does it have something to do w/ the little girl Elizabeth? I talk to her but all she says is something about catching frogs & no one is ever home @ her hut.

Nevermind. I was going through my stores at home and was going to get every kind of meat I had & dump it in the pond when I discovered I had FOUR muddy pond mildew in my inventory at my house! I do not know how I came by these... I never talked to Elizabeth about meat (as I later learned is how you are supposed to aquire muddy pond mildew.

I am getting highly frustrated with this I can't figure out how to get Elizabeth to talk about meat and I would really like some help so is it a glitch or what!?!?
