Smelting furnace

I can’t figure out how to use the smelting furnaces. It I try to hit them or walk over i get the message “Hot fire burns you. Your HP has been decreased by 2.” And I get teleported to the same position always

Tapping them does nothing.

There’s a genie next to the furnaces who says “That tickles” when I tap them. Hitting them does nothing.

The sign says “To smelt cinnabar - Hit the Furnace and Feed the Flames.”

Hitting or tapping the flames does nothing.

What am I missing here?

Thank you! He requested 10 pcs of uranium to be processed. No location on the map refers to a uranium mine. No quest logs mention uranium. Where could i find uranium?

It seems i already had 15 pcs of uranium, but heck if i know where I got it

You can mine Uranium in a secret area in the east of the Sulphur Mines if you have Cynder's Axe.
