Your own house

ive heard people talk about owning your own house but I think I'm pretty much done with the game and I have yet to own a house. I really need this house so I can get rid of these damn diseases from the expansion.

If you've beaten the main quest you have a house.

If you beat it and close the portal, you get your own house. If you leave the portal open, you take the governors room I believe.

Well I'm evil so I left it open. I walked around my new palace but I couldn't find anything that would cure me. Is there still something in there that can help? I mean Ive tried to do the university's quests to get rid of these diseases but I can't even get to the ice cactus. I just get torn apart. I've tried stone skin + resist magic pots with high alchemy. Magic immunity. Nothin works I'm just too fragile with these diseases.

Hol 2 I think at lvl 16 hah. I should be 30 right?
