Is quest software still being developed?

I bought quest years ago for my palm pilot, then a couple of years later for pocket pc.
Then even more years for iPhone, and finally now I'm playing the iPhone version on my iPad :)

One thing that strikes me is that the software itself has never seemed to change through all these versions :(
I don't mind the graphics too much (although new HD gfx would be awesome), but playability on iPad is a bit frustrating especially because I like to play in landscape mode.

You can swipe screen to move but it's cumbersome and only moves ones space unlike using the arrow pad.
Is this ever likely to be improved? or is the quest on its last legs :(

I really hope red shift give a little revamp for iPad. There's nothing else like it on app store

Redshift declared a year or so ago that they would be no longer doing anything to the maingame engine. They would be taking a backseat in a way only helping people with bugs.

As fa as optimization for Ipad I beleive it has been suggested a few times (well a lot) but there is no plans for it happening atm.

We would have liked to create an iPad version, but it's just not feasible (for various reasons), sorry. And yes, only bugfixing for The Quest.

We are a very small company, me being the only programmer, and we have to focus on our new game.

Thanks guys, it's sad we will never see an iPad version but I do understand.

What is your new game? Has it been announced yet, or can you tell us what genre it will be?

It will be a fantasy card game, very loosely based on the game inside The Quest's inns. It will be much more complex, with an own storyline and some light RPG elements. The game system is ready, the graphics are ready, all we have to do now is to put things together. : ) So right now we can't post any screenshots. The game itself will be ready for testing around the beginning of 2012.

What platforms is it planed to be released on?

And is that party based RPg mentioned on your website still in the works? Sounds interesting.

We are planning on PC (Windows), Mac, iPad and iPhone versions. iPad and iPhone is for sure. We might make an Android version, after the other versions are released.

After the card game, we would like to create a party based RPG, but that's so far in the future, it's rather pointless to talk about it now. :)

Will it be free (with in app purchases) for iPods or will it cost money?

It will cost money but not much - just a few dollars.
