Wow I simply cannot continue... After the bridge there are so many ogres that I cannot get through.

Try going back and killing the archers and bandits. Make sure your armor and weapons are up to date. And get some potions that buff your damage.

Yep.. did none of that lol. I went east and then south to Vasteres and will get better armor and weapons there. I was fine till the two ogre mages started beating on me and a third came out of no-where lol

I am loving this game. didn't make it this far in the PPC days, ran to slow and I didn't have enough time to dedicate to it.

Any mage types will mess you up early, unless you are a Mage yourself, because of how magic resistance works. If you get close to an Orc shaman, however, he will be forced to melee combat, so try getting up next to him.

Yah mages are harsh and good to get to know how to deal with them.
Magic resist gear and potions are necessary and potentially magic immunity.
Also use terrain to force them towards you or to get them stuck so you can run in on them to melee. What I found out is if you face a mage they will only move left/right when you move and will not come forward unless there are obstacles. So if you position right you can force them in any direction to trap or setup for an ambush.
Always watch the horizon for enemies. If you rush into a new area center you will likely get attacked by 4 to 5 mobs at a time. I wish we had a large radius detect enemy spell though since it is hard to see some enemies.
Paralyze spell or wand is also easy mode with mages or almost any mob for that matter.

Right now I am buffing up and killing a lot of thieves and others in the woods north of the bridge.

This has been a great game so far and getting better all the time. The only main issue I have found is in Vastares there is nothing but everyone talking about the thieves guild. I am guessing I need to find that in order to get more quests. Man there is a lot to do for a game this old and for an old platform that lacked space.

You'll have your run in with the thieves guild later, you can't actually get with them at the moment. The main quest in Vastares is in the manor in the middle of the city.

Ah thanks. I am going there now to see what's up.

Hopefully I can get some side quests soon this thieves guild only conversations are nuts. Same thing g over and over
