I have many items in permanent storage acquired in base game and expansions. Does keeping items there pose any drain on game resources? I finally learned to sell off items on a per expansion basis, but didn't figure that out until recently so have a lot of previous inventory accumulated.

Your save file is slightly larger which makes saving/loading slightly slower. It shouldn't be a problem though.
