I was wondering what country Mersant’s empire is based on. Is it based on the Roman empire? It does look like it’s around the Mediterranean Sea like Rome.

I didn't make the game, but I'm pretty sure it's a fictional universe.
In the base game, the sea surrounding Freymore is unnamed, but in Islands of Ice & Fire (also part of Mersant's kingdom), the seas have a name like "Sea of the Two Sisters", which I believe never existed in real life.
