Soft locked Ransom Quest

I undertook the quest from Lord Bogar. Without realizing it, I locked myself out of the decision I wanted to make. I wanted to resolve the quest by refusing to give Bogar his wife back. But after telling him his wife doesn’t want to return, the only way I can resolve either the ransom quest or the kidnapping quest is to drug his wife. I read somewhere that I could still take the ransom money from him by talking to the bandit leader after receiving the drug but when I talk to the bandit leader, he just tells me to go talk to Lord Bogar. And when I talk to Lord Bogar, he just tells me to drug his wife. I really don’t want to kidnap his wife, But I hate leaving both quest lines unresolved. It’s bugging me to the point that I’m thinking about deleting my save and starting over again, lol. Is there another solution?
