Swiss Cheese Room

Ok so I have read Kyanan's guide to finding Grey Hood (which includes a walk through of the Swiss cheese room), but every time I try to do the pillar sequence I get teleported back on the third one. Am I doing something wrong or is it just a glitch?

It won’t let me pass the pillar in front of the gate. It says I’m not doing something right.

It's not a glitch. You have to remove that pillar by tapping the other pillars in the correct sequence. Don't touch that pillar at all.

Hint: The first pillar to tap is the first one in the southwest. The last pillar to tap is that first one in the southeast as you face north.
