Trouble in “Steal Blood” quest

I’ve been following the guide on catacomber for Celtic rift and I’ve hit a bit of a snag with getting the blood blessed as part of this quest. The guide says “In the room with all the statues, you can DISARM (go from the side so you only do one) and talk to the Druid, who will bless the blood.” But whenever I try to disarm the statues in the Land of the Living with the Druid behind them they just hit me, even if I use a wand that casts disarm at level 100. What am I missing? I’m wondering if it’s because I’m playing the classic version instead of HD maybe this quest is done differently in classic?

In the Classic version you need to use the spell Calm.
