Game crash when resting or sailing

Steam version on WIN10. Every time I 'rest' using the tent icon, after the rest is done and I acknowledge it by clicking the green check mark, the game crashes. Same for travelling by boat. Currently, I can't rest outside an Inn, and cannot use boats for travel. Please advise.

First, check the integrity of the game files: right click on the game in your library, select "Properties", then "Local files". There is a button called "Verify integrity of game cache...".

Not sure if this issue has already been addressed but I'm having the same issue

The answer is the same. Check integrity/reinstall, if still crashing please send save (and indicate on which OS you are playing the game).
