Save game folders

On PC: "C:\Users\<your user name>\Saved Games\The Quest"
On Mac: "~/Library/Application Support/The Quest"
On Android: "Android/data/hu.redshift.thequest/files"
On iOS: You need to use iTunes File Sharing

On PC and the Mac, you can also just click on the "Open Folder" button on the load/save screens.

Save files are compatible between all versions (except the old iOS version). "Save0" is the autosave, while all other numbered saves are the regular save slots.

It seems that after adding the workshop and the editor, Android and PC saves are not compatible anymore.

Android to PC works fine

PC to Android without adding any expansions like Vacation makes the android app crash.

The Android app hasn't been updated yet. It'll work again after the update. (Thor's Hammer is coming to Android too. :))

I saved my files to my computer from my iPad. I put them onto my iPhone, but when I tried to load any of the saves, it crashed. Any suggestions?

Are the game versions the same on both of your devices? You must have the same game installed (updated to the the same version) and the same expansions enabled.

On my Android both:
"Android/data/hu.redshift.thequest/files" and
"Android/data/hu.redshift.thequestexp1/files"
are empty, in two different file browsers I turned "Show hidden files ON" still can't see any save files. Any suggestions?

That's an Android (or Windows or any other OS you might be using) problem. ;)

It seems Android might not show the shared files properly sometimes (not just The Quest's). No idea why or when it does this, but I've experienced it myself. Try reconnecting your device to your computer and/or restarting your device.

I tried what you suggested but I couldn't get it to show me ANY of the files at all including the save files! Did I do something wrong? Is there another way of getting my save data onto my computer?

What platform are you using? PC/Android/iOS?

Android can be finicky as written in my previous post. Nothing to do with The Quest. If it is Android, I can just repeat myself, please try reconnecting your device to your computer and/or restarting your device.

If you play on PC (Windows), the "C:\Users\<your user name>\Saved Games\The Quest" folder, if you play on a mac, "~/Library/Application Support/The Quest". (As mentioned in the first post.)

Greetings, I am using Apple iPad OS 16.1 I’m having some issues with saving games to folders. It seems that I save them but when I come back at a different time things have changed. Maybe I’ve lost money after I played for hours at the card table. Or when I purchased items now they’re missing and not in the game so if anybody has any answers for this, please post them here. Thank you.

Hi JimBobPrime! Sorry to hear that!

We are not aware of any issues with saves being corrupted, though. As the game have been out for a very long time now, I suspect there might be some problem with your device (corrupted flash maybe?). Have you noticed anything odd apart from the game?

You could try creating two separate saves every time you save and if you notice anything amiss, try loading the other save.
