iPhone 7 Plus - Closing Barrels Opens Menu
As the subject explains, when I open up a barrel to loot, I press the red X to close out of the barrel and it keeps opening the menu where I would have to press 'Continue game'.

Hmm, I admit in portrait mode the the placement is not the best. And I can reproduce the issue, but it's quite hard for me. If you just tap the button, it doesn't trigger the menu.
It it's a persistent problem, I recommend turning off the menu and forum icons in Settings/Controls. The menu is easily accessible from the character screens and the forum from the menu.

Yeah I noticed what was causing it after fiddling with it some more. Tapping super quick or lightly didn't work for me. However, I tried holding the X button and then dragging away from the menu icon to prevent it from opening with some success. I'll try your suggestion of removing the icons.
