It was developed on 64 bit Windows 7... ;)

What "d3d9" error do you get exactly? Please copy the full text. Thanks!

Although it's part of Windows 7, you could try reinstalling DirectX 9: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=34429

I'm playing on Windows 7 64 bit on Steam with no problem. It might be a Steam issue.

I found this--

Your hardware is too old. It doesn't support non power of two textures, which are required. Sorry.

Just for curiosity sake, can you tell me what hardware you have (CPU and graphics card type, if you have it)? If you don't know, don't worry about it. (In any case, it must be more than ten years old, because that was the last time when only power of two texture supporting hardware was released.)

You didn't need to include that much. ;)

As I said your hardware is more than ten years old and more importantly doesn't support a required hardware feature, sorry.

If you want to buy an external graphics card (dock with graphics card?), you could write it's name here and I can try and find out if it's good enough but I can't guarantee it'll work...

The old version is software rendered. It should run on any machine. But the resolution/graphics/performance is not comparable to the new version.

i agree it doesnt have the same quailty grafics and the added features of the hd version but it will have to do until i get my computer parts and i would just like to take this time to say thank you for making a amazing adventure that i can play on virtually anything ipod, android tablet, and lastly my computers
i started on my ipod back in 2012 i do belive and ive just fell in love with how many paths you can explore and how many options your given as a player i must have put in around a total of 700 plus hours and ive never got that from any of the turn based dungen crawlers
so thank you so much
