Re: The EditorOh true. Thanks for the good advice and for the example. Using variable assignments is a clever way to do it.
Re: The EditorHi, I have two questions.
1. I can't seem to edit a npc so that the one I placed can be named differently or change anything about that one npc. When I try similar to like the tutorial, it doesn't allow me to click on anything to change anything. How do I change the name for each npc I place to make different people? 2. You mentioned somewhere that we can use the editor to look at the actual main game to see how things are set up. How do we do that? Also, just to mention, I am using the editor for the steam version of the game.
Re: The EditorNevermind, I found out both thing. For anyone who has these questions- 1. For an NPC, you also have to add a monster type in the "manage monster types, which includes all monsters and NPCs. The ones you create here allow you to make new npcs and edit them. 2. the main game file is in the tutorial on the main site, I just missed it.
Re: The EditorHi everyone. I'm not sure if it's my computer/display or something else but in the new editor (well, new to ME), I can't see the whole window for tthe npcs type. I'll try it on my main computer which has a MUCH better display (4K) but Idk. It would be inconvenient to try this however as my work on my new map isn't on my main computer. Would you be able to fix this so it displays properly or is my laptop just too old (pre 4K) for this editor? I would post a screenshot but Idk how on your website.
EDIT: after trying other windows to get one of my shops done it would appear that all windows that open after trying to do something in the editor are too "long" for my display. Any way to fix this for resolutions NOT using 1080p? I think I'm using 720p on my laptop because of my vision as it makes the screen larger. My actual preferred resolution is 1366x768.
Re: The EditorSorry about the resolution thing but the editor won't be changed. World building is really just something extra, it's a small miracle the editor even works.
![]() In an ideal world, yes, it would be nice if everything worked perfectly in all circumstances but we are just two guys (with me the only programmer). We really have to work on our new game, I hope you can understand.
