Postby Lord Dim » Fri Feb 03, 2012 4:17 am

Ok so I Dow loaded it and opened the program... Now all my Friends and I are completely confused of what to do first, mainly the map part as all the planning was done already. Any help?

To create a surface map go to map>create surface map, the best size is 8x8 (it is the most stable) and select all the default ground options as water (again stable). Then you can change the default floor in the option area with walls etc. for indavidual map areas.

Make sure you fully read the 2 documents they are vital.
You have 20 save slots use them all. Save after every quest, save before going into a dungeon, save, save save!!

The editor can be buggy and crashy. Are you selecting surface map or jut new map?

I'll have to start making some tutorials. Read the ones which were linked to with the download one of them tells you how. Select the wall then lcick where you want it and press SPACE!

Hello! I'm new here at the forums and find this expansion editor very interesting. I do the best I can at the moment to try and learn the editor. So far I understand scripting, teleports, and the basic level creation.
:)
But there is one thing I do not understand. :? How do you place doors or wall decoration on a wall? Do i need to select the wall in a certain way, or use another command?

Any help would be good! :D

Have fun with it! You can do almost anything with this editor, not just building new maps and writing new story, but using your own graphics and sounds, putting in new items, creating new spells or even replacing the intro animation - it's like creating a new game, but of course the base engine will remain the same. : )

I wish anything :( I wanted to include a large tower in mine, but with only 2 brick height and the set view limit that's impossible :/

Make a tower from inside, level to level, with stairs which leads up to the next level.
From the outside, you can build only 3 block height - two wall blocks and one roof block.
