Jade Blood

Have decided to do a new Quest expansion after all. Jade Blood. Will have more details as time goes on. : )

Somehow I couldn't keep my paws off the Quest editor. : )

Edit: This is now Dragon Jade. See that thread. There's a planned Jade Blood for the future but different story.

Cat, a suggestion if I may. I've noticed that in a lot of your expansions, they mainly consist of one central hub where you get pretty much all of the quests that one area. I'm not sure how others feel about it, but I prefer where you get a few quests in one town, you complete those, and move on. If you do decide to release this on the App Store, I would love to see this done.

if you mean you have to get quests and solve them in a town and then move on that seems to me to be a little too linear to me. I can make it so you get the main quests in one place. There are two or three main quests. And then you can get local quests in each locality but some of them may take you wide ranging over the map. Not sure exactly what you mean but willing to hear more. Liz writes most of the quests these days as I'm involved with 3d level creation in Unity and programming but happy to try what you want if it is nonlinear. : )

Yes, that's what I mean. Main quests that take you along the map, and side quests scattered throughout. Not so much that it is purely linear, but enough to give a good sense in direction as where to go next.

OK, Prickett. Liz and I are agreed. We'll do the quests that way. : )

Just seen this Cat and I absolutely agree with Prickett: the one central area for picking up quests is quite the turnoff for me: you pick up so many quests that your list can be quite overwhelming! Looking forward to the new expansion - I've bought (but not finished playing as yet) all the others! :)

Yes that was the reason I asked about that; being completely swamped with quests at one time, but I am really looking forward to the more (yet not completely) linear gameplay!

My partners now want to do Jade Blood as a Unity game and not as a Quest expansion. They are quite taken with 3d graphics and I'm not sure I can blame them so that's how it will be. I'm sorry if I got anyone's expectations up.

Yeah, no hard feelings. Maybe something similar awaits on the TQ2's editor!

Thanks. And in The Omber--our next game--almost 75% done----most of the quests except a few can be solved in the area where you get the quest. : ) A few have to be solved in a little bit different place because it makes sense given the story and you get to explore further. : ) I heard you and it was good advice. Will never forget it. : ) If you'd like to have Prickett's Ring in The Omber just let me know.

I would be honored Cat! Thanks so much for hearing me out on that. One last question, is this game going to be on iOS, or just computer?

iOS : ). Both The Omber and Jade Blood etc are for iOS. The Omber should be ready for beta testing in about two weeks.
