i absolutely loved "the quest", its one of the titles i hold very dear considering among the ever growing mediocrity and misery of todays gamedev

Merry Christmas to everyone!
Sorry for the long pause. In 2022 we had an editor and we could build the full world of The Quest II. But that world was "empty", only graphics without any signs of life. In 2023 we developed a real, runnable game based on that editor. It took many months but at last we have a real world with NPCs, dialogues and more. We just finished putting in the whole main storyline with all NPCs, dialogues and scripts. Now we must translate it to English, also we need to make all sidequests and other graphic features so you can see some improvements from last year's screenshots. We are working on it, don't worry, but the game is huge and we are only two guys. We'll post new screenshots as soon as possible. Until that, have a Happy New 2024 which hopefully will bring you the first real beta testings of TQII!

Okay, now it's time to travel into the Dark, as we promised earlier. Not below the ground, yet, but when an action/mystery packed day is over, twilight falls on the world of Monares too. Dungeons will come later. Now we're working on finishing the dialogue system of the game, as well as on translating all the text into English. Next time we'll go underground.

Thanks! I don't think it will be released this year but the first beta tests can start in 2024. Of course we'll write here if anything happens and if we need testers.

Hi, I'm praying this will surpass The Quest in greatness.

I think I might help by betatesting, but I'm much like a monster in Skillet - Monster song. So don't take me seriously

Also, since I'm in Russia and can't go anywhere, that makes people like me have many suicide romanticizations. In our culture, we were always stifled with lack of information (one of reasons why I love studying and learning) Hearing so many songs from some time ago with same problems being addressed makes me feel not alone. I hope people will be able to buy Betrayed from at least one store since we can't buy from app store anymore. It might help many people feel less bad, and oh, I'm waiting for great, masterful translations too!

Great name for the next game, IMO. Can't wait to see what it means in the storyline

This is an amazing day! I was just reminiscing with a coworker over my favorite Palm game, Legacy, only to go down the rabbit hole of finding Quest is available on android, there's a sequel in the works, AND it might still be available for beta testing?!?

If you're still accepting tester, YES PLEASE!

I'm pretty sure that I made all of my old purchases through one of two, long dead email accounts, but I'm pretty sure that I still have the old files someplace (assuming the drives haven't died).

I wonder if one of these companies that make limited physical editions of games would be interested in The Quest 2. If it only had some well-designed cardboard box with The Quest style art and perhaps some in-universe text (letter?) that pertains to the story, I'd already have enough of a reason to buy it, but I am not sure if I am in a minority as a collector. I believe the art – when designed immaculately for the cardboard box whose material itself brings to mind games of the past – could already be a strong selling point. I don't know any relevant statistics though, to make a better case here.

I am also interested in beta testing. I have little to do, so I'd make sure to seek out methods to break the game.

Every time you share new shots I'm blown away! The woodland creatures and the more organic textures make the world feel so much more full and lived in than The Quest. The variations in the tiles also make it look more real. I can't wait to see the animations.
