Information on Thule

I have read various guides/ tips etc about this quest and it says that it will update when you get near the Abbey of Thule. I have been all round the Abbey, inside and out, the map squares all round the Abbey and still no update. Have I missed something or just unlucky....any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.
