This may be tangential, but in the same caves, there is a dragon statue. After flipping all three switches, two forcefields remain. Is it a task to remove the last two, or is the dragon statue insignificant? Thanks!

There are switches. The dragon statue is insignificant. Switches that remove the walls of force are in the south and east of that area.
Nothing will happen with those switches though unless you have the "Good News" quest--
For Frosthyr the Ice Giant, Ice Caves, find his half-brother the Sea Giant Aegon and tell him the good news that he's an uncle.
