Ok so I want to go back and forth between the main game and this expansion. I tried it, went to the expansion, went to the mainland with the giant and took a shop back to the main game. Then went back to the expansion, the giant isn't there and there's no way to go to the mainland or take the ship back to the main game

Igob the Sailor in Lorwick Village will take you back to Matras.

If you're on Bream Island and Fetyl is gone, you can knock on the door of the Duke of Ravens in about the middlish of the island and he will take you to Stone Snout.
