Re: Edit saveThe save files on the device are stored in the "Android/data/hu.redshift.thequest/files" folder, which is easily accessible, if you want to copy them somewhere or want to put save files from the PC/Mac or iOS version there. (Except from the old version on iOS, which is not compatible.)
As for "editing" them, do you mean like changing how much gold you have? In that case, yes, you can, we won't stop you. We won't help you either, you are on your own. If you do it wrong, the likely result is that the game will crash on loading the save. So we definitely not recommend it either. The game might not be the easiest at first, but it's not hard at all if you know what you are doing. Much of the fun in the game comes from exploring, both the world and the character builds. There are also many guides available right here in the forums, if you are stuck.
Re: Edit saveThe save file is not text, it's binary.
Re: Edit saveProbably me being dumb but...
I don't see my save files there? In Windows Explorer that folder exists, but appears to be empty (show hidden files is turned on). Within the game it shows my save files (I have a couple) but not in that folder.
Re: Edit saveThe save files are there. However Android (or different device) behave erratically when you connect to the external storage. Try reconnecting your device to windows or restarting it.
In the game you can't see in which folder the saves are.
Re: Edit saveI am using FolderSync from the playstore to sync saves between my phone and tablet. It is pretty nifty.
Sure cloud in the app would be better but this will do for now.
Re: Edit saveWhere are the save files of the steam version? I tried steam apps, the quest and I cannot find them.
Re: Edit saveOn PC the save files are here: "C:\Users\<your username>\Saved Games\The Quest".
You can click the "Open Folder" button on the save/load screens and it'll take you there.
Re: Edit saveExcellent! Now I'm playing my pc save on my android. Thank you!
Re: Edit saveAren't these nano temporary save files?
