Please help me get to Strah mountains

I've spent 3 hours trying to get to Strah Mountains - I've tried from the south and east and to no avail. I went into the underground got the maul and stepped on the pressure plate which said a rumbling in the distance but I cannot find my way in. I'm on the quest to go to Mad Dwarf Dungeon and get Cat a rock. Please help. How do I get to Strah Mountains?

You enter from the far mid north of the Village of zNeurozhayska.
